2nd grade will be starting to discuss study skills, as a part of my academic curriculum. During the 1st lesson, the kids met GWC Checking Chipmunk (named after George Washington Carver), learned a good work habits song and learned some fun facts about chipmunks. The message today was the importance of "covering your tracks." The kids learned how chipmunks must learn to cover their tracks- for their safety. They connected this to their school work, and discussed the importance of going back and checking their work to look for mistakes and also to make sure all questions are answered. GWC will be back next time, to share another message about good work habits!
